First Investment Property-Looking out of State

Cameron Sutton Jr.

Posted

Good evening,

My name is Cameron and I am new to BP, I live in the NYC area, and I am looking to purchase my first buy and hold property out of state by March 2017. Can anyone provide any insight as to what market would be best to dive into right now?

Any insight that you can provide, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Have a good weekend all.

Welcome to BP @Cameron Sutton Jr.! My recommendation would be to invest somewhere you have "boots on the ground" aka someone you can trust and knows the area - family, friends, other investors you might meet here on BP. That being said, investors certainly do invest out of their area - I'd recommend searching through some of the older podcasts and listening to those that invest out of state. If you ever want to chat about eastern Iowa, feel free to message me. Good luck!
