Air BNB disqualified a FHA purchase
I am working with a client who is purchasing a home that he currently rents from the home owner. He has used short term room rentals at his residence through AirBNB for about 6 months with the permission of his landlord to supplement his income. He was trying to get FHA Financing and has been denied because his use of AirBNB classifies the property as a Bed and Breakfast and therefore Commercial. The local town has the property zones as a single family residence. Any insights on this or work arounds to allow him to complete this purchase?
