Are there more sales and more money to be made in a big city?  i am thinking about moving to a big city like San antonio TX and get my Realtor business going over there too.

right now my city is a decent size, but im wondering if there is more opportunity in san antonio

@Devin Mann  I would agree that there are at least more sales in a bigger city and fewer days on the market (DOM).  I invest in VT where I'm from but live in Santa Barbara.  The last report I read for VT was DOM is around 180 days.  Around here if something is priced right, generally you will have multiple offers the first week, and over 45 days DOM is unusual.  I also feel a warmer climate means the real estate business is more stable year around.  Obviously in VT, construction and sales slow down in winter.

As Russell mentioned, the higher commissions definitely can be offset by a higher cost of living, so do your research.

Good luck,

Tom
