Other strategies for not selling no tenant house?

Hi BP,

We own a single family house in TX and live in OH now. The town where the house is is very small and heavily relays on the oil industry. We have been trying to sell the house for almost a year and had couple offers recently. The offers are rather low than what we think the house is worth. We also try to rent it out. No luck either. What other things can we do for this house? Please help! Thank you all.

Contract for deed and lease options for periods of longer than 180 days are a big no no in Texas.  There are work arounds such as right of first refusal, but unless you have a great understanding and help I would not pursue that route
