Investing Advice – Newbie in search of deal and ethical-professio

Greetings fellow BP investors

Newbie here that has been reading blogs, listening to the podcast and attending the webinars.  What a wealth of information.  Thank you!

I was introduced to a realtor that deals with corporate rentals. (The person who introduced us is realtor’s mother so some bias here). The realtor and I met and discussed collaborating together:her providing corporate renters and me investing in properties renters are searching for.

She sent some properties but the numbers seemed high when I was calculating expenses vs. income. I researched and found some similar properties that where considerably better priced. Sent them to her for her opinion, asking if these were something that her clients were looking for.

After a couple days, heard from her. She ignored mentioning the better priced properties instead just pushed the higher priced ones.I went to the links I had bookmarked of better priced properties to ask her about them. Found 1 of the 3 suddenly went under contract. The other suddenly rented out. This was after 1 was on the market for over 5 months and the other was on the market for over a year.

I can’t help being a bit suspicious about this. I have been burned in the past by other realtors. I was really hoping we could have a good business relationship between us but now, not sure.

At this point, I don’t even know what to say to her. I could use her for her potential renters but not if I am getting nowhere with properties.   Properties suddenly be scooped up.

Your thoughts?  Thank you!
