Hello all,

I am looking at purchasing a half duplex in Mesquite, TX. Any comments in favor or against owning half duplex? Not sure how lawn care and roof costs are divided. Thank you!

It's a crap shoot, you will never know who is going to live next door. Could be a minister, could be a meth house. Could be a minister cooking meth.

The owner could even turn it into a rental and we all know how bad that can be.

A lot depends on the neighbourhood and home prices.
