Red flag question

Is the fact that a wholesaler, isn't as willing to give some sort of information on a lending company or particular investor a red flag? The more questions I ask, the more uncomfortable I get. There are signs but I want to be sure that I'm not psyching myself out BECAUSE I see signs.
