Buying property in an entity name.

I was wondering if there's any way in which you could buy property outside of your name. I don't know if this would entail setting up an LLC or Corporation, but somehow purchase a property so that my name does not display on the title or owner information.

With a LLC you'd have to have the regulatory contact (or however your state terms it) be a 3rd party like a lawyer. In most states this is very easy and legal to do and also not overly expensive.

My properties show as "XYZ Realty investments LLC" , a person could determine I'm the owner by checking with the secretary of state and checking who filed for the LLC. I could potentially have the contact name as a lawyer or other 3rd party, however I haven't chosen to do this in case of emergencies or such.
