eBay for Rental Properties?

Hello everybody, I have a question that may seem a little bit silly on the surface. Has anyone ever acquired a property on eBay before? I just stumbled upon a bunch of listings from all over the country that people were trying to offload (with owner financing and without). I have recently come to the realization that my area may be prohibitively expensive unless the stars are aligned and I want to see if this could be a feasible option for long distance acquisition. Of course, if it were legit, I would do all the due diligence necessary and consult all the proper professionals. I am just trying to see if this is something others have tried. Thanks everyone!
