vacation rentals in Palm Springs, CA

Hello to all you investors in the CV area!!! I'm in the process of the rehabbing a house in Palm Springs and I was originally thinking of flipping the property but now that I'm almost done with the rehab my wife and I are thinking of turning it into a vacation rental. We know many people who have vacation rentals in PS and they are getting some great returns. Especially now with all the new festivals and once the new downtown is done the rates will be even higher. I'm wondering if you guys can share from your personal experience the pros and cons of having a vacation rental in PS?
