Boston Real Estate Investing

Hi everyone,

I am currently moving to Boston and am eager as ever to learn this market. I understand the areas around Boston such as Watertown, Sommervile, Medford etc are desired places to live and becoming more and more expensive everyday. I was wondering how current or past investors in the area created their start, and any advice they would give in reguards to starting off in a expensive area. I am open to all and advice.

I started by purchasing a condo in the complex where I was living at the time (JP). I lived there and rented out the second bedroom. If you have good credit, you can get an FHA loan for 3.5% down. Humble beginnings!
