About to close on a property with an abandoned car in the backyard of home.  I want to legally have it removed.

Anyone out there run into this situation?

The property is located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana

In Louisiana if you call a tow truck company and request them to move from PRIVATE property (after you own it), they will typically remove it at no cost and then they take the responsibility of advertising to sell the car per the law. I've had numerous vehicles removed from private property I've owned or that my clients have owned. But again the vehicle has to be on your property. Not the public right of way or in front the property. Within your 4 boundaries.
