How to properly inspect a property to give a good estimate
Hey guys, I was wondering what to watch out for when inspecting a house? I found a thread with the title "questions to ask a seller" that had some pretty good info already but I can't seem to find it again (I'm on my phone).
But being a potential wholeseller I would like to build my rep in the RE world as an honest and trustworthy person, someone who can make it as easy as possible for an investor. But I lack experience in personally checking out property for problems or even questions to ask.
So far I am looking at the basics:
1. Sq ft
2. Bed/bath
3. Any recent upgrades
4. How old some parts of the house is
5. Any repairs
6. Mortgage/payments
And after would I need to get quotes from professionals for repairs or can I find prices for those somewhere online? How do you guys/gals who are checking out houses find the best possible and accurate value for the house?
