Auction property via email

I have a property we are looking at that the owner wants to take bids via email. They will take bids for a week then broadcast out the bids to give bidders a chance to make another offer. The property is in a great area and fits our model for a fix and flip at the right price. I have never purchased property this way. Do I just send a email in with the amount we want to bid? Is there some type of offer form I should use? Thanks in advance for your help
