Lost an opportunity today. I got over bid on duplex!Austin market

Hello BP friend,

I learn a big lesson today. I am newbie in RE. I put my offer on for duplex $5k over asking price and lost. Asking price was $229k for duplex 3bd/2br on each side. I think just because my offer wasn't enough appealing to the buyer. I am doing owner occupied financing with 10% down. Is anybody can suggest what will be a good offer in Austin market?

Pleas investors help! I want to know what should i offer when next opportunity come along?

Don't get emotionally attached. Look at this as a potential blessing that maybe you didn't overpay for a property. Don't get into bidding wars and analyze the deal thoroughly with the BP calculators so you know exactly what you can offer to make it work.
