Realtor commission
hi I'm just doing the leg work to put a team together. My question is should I negotiate the commission rate of the realtor? Or should I just pay the full rate? I have bought two properties before but never sold one yet. Just wonder what is appropriate percentage? Don't want to be a cheap skate but don't want to be take advantage of either. Thank you so much for your time!!

Did you use the same agent for the two buy side transactions? What price points are we talking about?
For my repeat clients (Which investors usually are) I discount my listing side commission from 6% to 5% typically. On cheaply priced property I do not discount though as I need to make something. With one flipper, who was flipping on the backside in the $700k range, I went down to 4.5% (2.5% to buyer, 2% to me) because the commission was still high enough, as well on a high end flip, there is less work on the marketing side.
