Just started a new job, will this affect my ability to get a loan

Hello,

My wife and I are getting ready to buy our first home. We live in San Francisco and would need a jumbo loan. I just started a new job about a month ago and am wondering how this will affect being approved for a loan. Is there anything I can do to improve my status, or anything I should know before trying to get pre-approved?
