Getting Started in Multifamily
Hi All- I've been interested in investing in Real Estate for a while now, and I've done a lot of reading, and have capital ready to deploy, but haven't yet had an opportunity to discuss investment strategy with anybody who has been there and done it. I want to get involved in Multifamily investing for cash flow purposes, but my local market (manhattan) is too expensive, I would be putting too high a percentage of my capital at risk. Does anybody have advice on investing outside of their region, and how to know a good deal when I see one? Thank you!

welcome to bp, i am looking in ohio there you can actually cash flow, you could also invest with a syndication. you take a small piece of a larger deal. as an example if you 100,000 and the syndicator is buying a 5 million dollar property he may need to raise 2 million you would buy a piece of the pie, and get a preferred rate (around 8% per year) and participate in the profit when the property is sold
