Looking for some advice in regards to the hand over of our house in a divorce. I have a "friend" who is going through a divorce right now. The land and the house is in both their names however he would like to remove her name from the title and mortgage while letting her live there. However he would then be forced to give her half of the equity of the home. This is not fair as the land was given to this individual as family inheritance. He would like to sell the house back to himself and rent the house back to his ex-wife.

Any suggestions?
