New construction investing vs fix and flip

Hello Everyone,

Just want to start out by saying - I am discouraged after 3 months of looking for fixing properties in my area that I couldn't find any properties that could give me a good profit that would be worth my time and effort. If I found a property that would be worth all the effort, then my offer wouldn't get accepted or the deal would fall apart for 1 reason or another.

Now, I am starting to think if getting into new construction would be the way to go specially because my uncle is a builder and he builds houses in my area. I can talk to him and see what he says whether he would want to partner up or maybe I can pay him to build a house for me (not sure yet).

Is there anyone in the same situation as me? If not, do you have any suggestions what I should do for someone who is starting out?

Thanks a lot for your time.
