Rental Units in North Chicago suburbs

Hello!

Here goes my first BP post. I recently relocated to the Chicago area and am wishing to buy rentals in the North Chicago suburbs (Morton Grove/Niles/Skokie/Evanston). I want to buy one condo to start (to live in), with the option of renting out after I move out. However, I'm stunned at how many buildings are exclusively owner occupied. I might have to buy something I can't rent out, while trying to find rentals in other parts of town. Thoughts, on finding rentals in the northern suburbs, or what adjacent areas might be a good spot to look?

Thanks!
