Hey Guys,

My name is Omar, and I am a newbie to Real Estate Investing. I have taught myself majority of what I know about real estate from the amazing info provided here on BiggerPockets. Not only that, I have been to countless seminars and REAs in the area here in Chicagoland. However, the issue is, they all try and upsell us onto their packages. I cant seem to find anyone who simply wants to help or mentor, and I think this is an issue a bunch of us beginners face. I have tried wholesaling for the past 4 months, and there just seems to be no luck. I don't want to give up or quit, I want to make this happen. Without having to pay an arm and a leg to some REA group. Where have you guys found success when you first began? Did you find a group? a mentor? REA? I'd appreciate anyones feedback. I am very hungry to get my first deal done and will take any advice into consideration.
