Will tax assessed value change when I purchase a property?

We're looking at a fourplex in Marion, IA which was recently converted to a CO-OP to get a residential rollback on property taxes. Should we expect our purchase of the property to trigger a re-assessment of the property taxes? We expect the CO-OP to carry over with the purchase so that it will stay at a residential rate but if the purchase price is higher than the current assessed value, will this likely get re-valued by the county assessor?
