Beginners stay away from RE Gurus/Save $ find a Mentor
To quote @Engelo Rumora “Gurus are S**t!Save your money and find a mentor.”
That was great advice given to me by him and every since I have stayed away from buying any programs. I don’t consider myself an expert by any means. I have some experience in RE investing and have done many deals but I’m still very much a student of RE investing. In my experience it has been beneficial to network and learn from successful investors who take the time to share their knowledge. Bigger Pockets also has been a great source of information. I will admit I have bought a couple of courses in the pass and fortunately it didn’t take spending thousands of my hard earned money to realize those programs are horrible.
Recently I met a new investor for coffee and he told me about a 3 hour seminar he sat through. After listening to their sales pitch on how they can teach him to make $50k per deal and give him access to free money to invest in RE without using his own money. He realized they were full of s**t and knew they were selling a DREAM! To get access to their insider programs and information cost $1,997 if signed up that day, otherwise it will go up to $5,997.
I have no personal experience going to any of these programs but I have heard countless stories of how they exist. Sounds like a bunch of BS scammers misleading people into spending hard earned money and receiving no return on their time/money.
I want to hear everyone in the forum experience with these programs. Has anyone ever come across someone who actually had a good experience with any of these programs? I'm assuming everyone story is going to be pretty much the same. Happy investing everyone!! #BewareoftheGuru
