Will I pay a commission split on my wholesales?

I am fired up about wholesaling but I just finished the licensing process for my Realtors license. I planned on joining Keller Williams. I know that I am required to disclose to my wholesaling clients that I am a licensed Realtor, but am I required to split my assignment fee with my Broker? If I am, that's a game changer and I might have to rethink joining KW, but I guess I always viewed it like selling my car or whatever else, if it didn't require a license to do it, then my Broker wasn't entitled to the money. I can wholesale w/o a license I know, but I still want it. I live in SoCal. Anyone know how that works?

@Charissa Mood, every broker will have their own policies and may be willing to negotiate on different terms. Different KW offices will have different policies. Some brokers will not be open to you wholesaling properties. I once had an agreement with a broker who allowed me to list my own properties for a small flat fee. It was very reasonable--that may be why he went out of business. Most brokers are going to want some kind of split but they may be open to capping it at a maximum monthly or yearly amount. Pay close attention to the contract you are offered and try to negotiate terms that work for you. Don't be afraid to speak with several brokers. Best wishes.
