203K Renovation Questions
I put an offer on my first investment property, a duplex, and it was accepted. I'm using an FHA 203k renovation loan. I now have 15 days to do an inspection. This duplex is rented out currently with the stipulations that it will be free and clear when I close in May. With tenants already inside, what is the best way to go about prepping to do rehab work? I have a lot of ideas of how to spruce the place up but I'm going to need more time than just a quick walk through to figure out what needs to be fixed, updated and what types of modifications I want. Should I go to the county and get the blueprints for the house? Will my contractor be able to work with me on this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
