Anyone have experience with purchasing a property that offers retail space and apartments? I am interested in a property in a downtown area that has 2 retail spaces on the 1st floor, office space or apartment on 2nd floor and an apartment on the 3rd floor. Any recommendations on what to look for on a deal like this? I know it's going to vary location to location but what planning factors do you use for costs. Is there a format that you like for running the numbers down and seeing what your occupancy rate needs to be to break even.
