House Doesn't Sell So Realtor Raises Price $10,000
I was looking at a cute updated (potential buy and hold ) cottage house...however the location was simply awful as the house backed up to low income apartments and the railroad tracks were one block away...the listing agent said there " were multiple offers" so I did not even bother to chase it and now it is back on the market and she has raised the original asking price by $10,000 ! If there were multiple offers, and it went off market...then came back on market and he raised it...it is probably a reflection of what those higher offers indicated the value of the property was. The contract could have fallen through for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with the price, and all the parties that offered have now moved on to other properties. This happens more often than you might think.
