should Leads be free?

When the industry began syndication to third party portals sites, real estate agents had no idea the syndication business model will not help real estate agents. Those Syndication sites mislead and confusing home buyers and then extort money from honest real estate agents for leads on their very own inventory. So the question: Add your listing for free is basically harming the listing agent since the leads the listing agent deserve to get are taken away from him/her.
