REO bidding

Hi, I am a mom who wants to buy houses fix them up, rent them, and have a steady cash flow for early retirement.  I am losing houses. I bid as investor. Have all pre-approvals ready, 30 day closings, and a minimum of 20% down. Realtors are bidding less and getting them, then flipping them for double the price in 6 months. This one in particular was next to my primary house. I had a current renter in mind because she said she needed a bigger space. The realtor that got it, never lived in it. She has a PO Box as her address. I just got a phone call from that  tenant and they told me they put a bid in on that exact property and may be moving if accepted. So bummed. What the heck?????
