Good and bad areas of Milwaukee

I've been checking out properties in Milwaukee to hold and rent. I'm out of town, so I'm doing my due diligence on-line. Can someone help me get a feel for the good or bad areas? Is there an online resource that can help? I've check out crime maps. Are there maps that rate schools? Any areas to stay away from?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Don

I'm going to disagree on the statement about it being harder to evict tenants. There have been some favorable pro-landlord laws that came out since 2014. For example, to file for an eviction it's just $98.00. You get a court date relatively soon (couple of weeks with the exception of holidays). You no longer need to hire movers. (It's recommended but not required.) You don't have to store tenant belongings (with a couple of exceptions and that's only 7 days.) Almost anyone can appear in court for a landlord, the owner doesn't have to appear themselves, and an LLC doesn't require an attorney to file for them.

I've heard that CA and some other states are very pro-tenant.  I think we have it easy here in Milwaukee compared to them.
