Finding a Wholesaler

I am looking to start doing business with wholesalers.  I have made a few purchases through tax sales and website auctions, but I have found this method to be very tedious and time consuming.  I would like to establish some relationships with wholesalers who can find the deals for me.  Any idea how I might access wholesalers in Houston, TX?  Any precautions that I should be on the look out for when dealing with wholesalers?
