Question about buying a home
I am under contract to close on a house the 29th of jan.....
This has been tricky
Some background, the owner passed away in Jan... Not much family to speak of, I thought the house was going to go back to the bank.... well one daughter came out of the woodwork... The will has not be probated as there is no Will ..... The daughter is the one selling the house to us through real estate.... I guess my question is "Is she legally able to sell the house" From what I was told told in Texas.... she is the closest and only heir then she will be able to do so? If nobody else comes forward... I have everything completed already waiting on the titile search any day now! Just dont want to end up loosing the house for some reason... Thanks
