Are there any Local Virginia Beach Lenders out there?

I keep getting people suggesting different lenders but once I look on BBB or Facebook there's tons of bad reviews. How do you rate and judge a lender? I plan on using my VA Loan on a home I have picked but the lender has been the hardest thing I've had buying my second home.
