Interesting situation - any recourse ??
The other day a home came on the market that was accepting offers until that day at 5:00pm. The house was listed low because the owner can no longer maintain the property and is not of right mind so she has an attorney handling the sale. The attorney hired and agent to list and accept offers. My agent submitted the offer at 4:30. We found out We were the highest offer (cash offer) with no contingencies and waived inspection. We had offered slightly above asking
We did not get the house because when the first offer came in it was at asking and when the attorney heard they had a full price offer he verbally told the agent to accept who verbally told the other agent there offer was being accepted.
Not trying to be a sore loser, and I doubt there is anything I can do about it but be frustrated but I figured I would ask the question.
