Proving ownership of property under a trust
I'm working on a package deal with an investor for a few properties. I was doing some research on the properties (Looking up tax records and the like) and noticed that some of the properties are owned by a trust with an out of state mailing address. The properties have been vacant over a year and show similar ownership (each property is under some "education trust xxxx" with the xxx being the address number). I plan on making an offer soon, but don't want to get duped in some scam. What questions should I ask the seller to prove that he has the controlling interest of the property and has the right to sell?
