Updated about 9 years ago,
I'm finally pursuing my dream of owning rental property!
I am currently a manager at cabinet shop, skilled in carpentry, home building, remodeling and obviously cabinetry. I dont feel I can learn anything mew in the cabinet business. I am seriously considering changing my 9-5 "job" and learn something about real estate while earning an income to pay the bills. My ultimate goal is to own enough rental property to pay my expenses and retire from the 9-5 job lifestyle. There are three property management companies I am looking into right now. Im thinking I may have to start out in a maintenance man type position. Ideal I would like to work an investor in my area whom is big enough that they need people to help deal with, tenant management, incoming leads, find new deals, etc. Im not sure how to fing that guy or girl?? Im also considering becoming a real estate agent but im not sure about the inconstant income invovled. Any other suggestions for career changes? If anyone wants to see my resume I will be happy to send it to them! Thanks guys!!
