Brand new to commercial real estate investing. How do I start?

Hey there,

I'm hoping the community here can help me get some of the basics down. I'm brand new to the idea of real estate investing and although I was initially interested in single family, small multi family properties, I've recently become more interested in the commercial side of things.

I'd love any pointers, best practices, watch outs, good books to read, etc. on the subject. Again, I'm just starting, so I'm the basics are welcome.
