Must Use Seller's Lender?

Dear BP Family,

I offered full price on a duplex that was for sale, and the seller countered offered, saying she wanted me to use her lender.

I just got off the phone with my lender and told him what happened - he said that's illegal.  Is it illegal?  It sounds like the sort of thing that might violate fair housing laws.

Thanks in advance!
