1031 advice
Due to divorce, I'm suddenly having to do a 1031 for the 1st time. I have found properties in several cities, but how do I determine the feasibility of each site? I am aware that the broker works for the seller ultimately; pro forma rents seem like pie in the sky; and either the broker is overly enthusiastic or too cautious. Whom do I go to for impartial analysis? A real estate attorney--and do I need one? Or a CPA?
Thanks in advance.
