203k Loan and Contractors

Hey guys,

I'm currently searching for a multifamily property in South Florida (Broward County) and I am very interested in starting with a 203k loan. Has anyone in South Florida recently closed on a deal using a 203k? I have spoken to 2 different loan officers and neither have much experience with that loan. I would like for someone to recommend me to a knowledgable mortgage lender on this type of loan so that I can make have my deal go as smoothly as possible when the day comes.

Also, can anyone recommend any good contractors that have worked with the 203k ? Or just any contractors in general in the Miami, Broward, or Palm Beach areas?

Thanks for the help!

@Luis Ruiz I will PM you with the name of a 203k loan officer. The lender has a list of contractors who are already registered with the lender. If you have a contractor who isn't registered make sure the contractor qualifies and is willing to submit to a review.
