Anyone have any experience using a self-directed IRA account to invest real estate?Please share your experience and tips. Also which custodian do recommend to open the account with?

Pensco's fees are based off of amount invested into the accounts.  It is a quarterly fee and it really isn't that much in my eyes compared to what my financial planner charged as well as all of those hidden mutual fund fees.  I can give you more info once my account are 100% set up.  Probably worth comparing to other companies.  I went with Pensco personally because several people that have a high net worth and people I trust highly recommended them.
