Closing taking a long time

Has anyone had a closing take over 3 months?? We bought a house on auction.com in May, and the closing keeps getting pushed back every month.  This latest closing was supposed to be by 8/21.  Since that's 2 days away, I'm assuming it will be pushed back again.  Title company says they are waiting on " recording of forclosure deed."  We are new to flipping, so not sure if this is a fairly common thing or not.  We do not want to lose this house because it's such a good deal, but at the same time, I am just sitting on this cash that I could be investing in another property.
