How to evaluate repair costs and home value?

Hi guys and gals!  Quickly, I was wondering if there are any tools that you use to evaluate the estimated repair cost of a home, number one.  And number two, what system do you use to evaluate the home value? Do you use Zillow? Any other website? And number three, are investors looking specifically for the 70% below market value.

I'm in the research phase of investing in real estate and just want to make sure i'm getting all of this straight.

So, to put it bluntly, what are the numbers and systems you use that has worked the best for your real estate business. Thanks so much ahead of time for your comments.  I appreciate it!
