Property taxes question
Still learning here....
Can property taxes in different parts of the city be any indication of the type of neighborhood? I would expect for higher taxes to be paid to faster growing and more affluent neighborhoods as the tax payment requirements go up.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance! I am soooo ready to buy my first property and start my buy and hold business for the next 30 years!!! Any help, insight or advice is appreciated.

If you feel the property tax is too high, look into the appeal process. You can probably call the tax assessments office to get details. Here in my area, you can appeal property taxes on a property within 60 (or is it 90?) days after closing on it.
Otherwise, you can appeal every 2 years. I appealed all my properties and sent data like recent comps and showing other neighboring properties with lower taxes (found online). They did lower the taxes on my personal home, but no luck on the rentals. :-)
It's a good thing to try if you have the opportunity!
