New Beginning for A Potential Investor

I am completely new to Real Estate Investing but have a huge passion and desire to get involved. I am reading a lot about REI and trying to get a basis for understanding; are there any books/websites/articles outside of biggerpockets.com that anyone would recommend? Also, I just graduated college and am trying to determine what might be the best real estate opportunity for me to get into. I would love some recommendations or maybe things you may have wished you did when you were younger. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance and invest in other securities but I see a lot of potential in Real Estate. If there is anyone out there who is interested in helping a young-gun I would love to hear from you! Thanks for reading and giving consideration!
