Craigslist navigation - help

Good morning/afternoon,

Many here in BP speak of Craigslist so I decided to have a look. The site is very busy and doesn't seem to have an effective way of getting information. I was looking for 'homes for sale' and 'rentals'.

  • How do you manage to get this information? (I chose the city and under "housing" "real estate for sale") Filtering seems to be limited. There doesn't seem to be a way to separate 'land' from 'homes'.

I tried the basic input of the simplest terms but the pages that display are just filled with Ads that are not what I'm looking for. When I tried to find a "sort" button I didn't see one. After "filtering", the "list" view seems to show in order of date posted. I also chose 'thumb' view and it's still busy and hard to focus on what's on the page. There is no columnar view that would at least allow for sorting the specific columns for better clarity.

I searched here on BP using just "Craigslist" in the search and read through a lot of posts that didn't give me any answers.

I'm not a member of Craigslist either, is that the solution, to become a member and the pages somehow will be more discernable?

Thank you for any advice on how to properly navigate that site.
