Seller is missing the escrow date for about one month, what's my compensation?

I'm a first time investor and recently in a process of purchasing a condo in Vegas for 68K, cash. It was set to be a quick escrow by 6/30 due to a cash buying, but now because the seller is in Spain and he needs to make appointment at the US consulate there for notary before the escrow can be done, now that the new escrow date is set to be around 28 Jul, a month late. Is there any penalty set by law that I should pursue and any compensation of this delay? Thanks in advance
