Seller repaired stucco with shiny sealant and looks bad
We bought a house back in Oct 2014. There were a lot of cracks on the exterior stucco that the home inspector pointed out. We made the seller fix it. They used a do it all type handy man company who filled them with a sealant. The problem is its still shiny 9 months later and looks like spiderwebs all over the house. We have reached out to the company a few times with no response. We are in getting it repainted but the painters say that the sealant will show threw the paint. The painters are saying the only way to fix it is to re-skim stucco over the shiny stuff. Which of course is going to up the $$$. Do i have any grounds for making the handy man company pay the painters for the cost of their crappy repair? Should i take legal action? I'm open to any suggestions.
I appreciate all the help guys.
