Mold issues

I came across a great probate deal but the house has a pretty bad mold issues due to water leak. My question is how much will the impact the value after the rehab is complete? Assuming the mold issue is resolved. The 2012 MLS listing has 6 different photos of the mold problem. The house has been vacant ever since. Should I steer clear from this deal?

Replied

If it's a good deal price the remediation in or ask the sellers to come down. In my state, if there was mold it has to be disclosed upon selling.

I've had mold remediated in houses I've rehabbed and have always included the proper documentation from the remediation companies including repairs done to keep the mold from coming back that I have attached to the seller disclosure. This has never proved to be an issue with potential buyers as they have proof it was properly handled.
